Job Description
The Receiving Chemist I is responsible for receiving, sampling, coding, consolidating, and shipping hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials in accordance with company, state, federal, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

  • Receive, open, sample, and analyze incoming drums and lab packs
  • Code and process incoming waste materials for disposal, transportation, and billing purposes
  • Perform chemical consolidation, repacking, and bulking activities
  • Stage and prepare outbound shipments
  • Maintain inventory levels, organize storage areas, and verify incoming shipments against manifests and paperwork
  • Operate forklifts and other facility equipment safely
  • Calibrate and operate laboratory equipment for basic chemical analysis
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
