Role Overview

The Records Management Specialist will support the assessment, modernization, and ongoing execution of EDA's Records Management Program. Working alongside senior records management personnel and Government stakeholders, this position will assist with records inventories, audits, electronic records management, document control, disposition activities, administrative procedures, program documentation, and records management training and sustainment efforts.

What You Will Do

The Records Management Specialist is expected to support Senior Records Managers in assessing, redesigning, and executing EDA's Records Management Program, assist with the analysis, development, and review of administrative operating procedures, support records management activities, management plans, reports, and program documentation, and participate in records inventories, audits, and reconciliations.

Requirements

  • Approximately 4 or more years of related professional experience in records management, document management, information management, information governance, administrative records support, or a closely related field
  • Experience working with NARA records retention policies, schedules, or records management requirements
  • Experience supporting records inventories, file plans, records disposition, document control, indexing, digitization, or records reconciliation activities
  • Familiarity with electronic records and common digital repositories, such as shared drives, SharePoint, email systems, or comparable platforms
  • Ability to organize, track, review, and reconcile large volumes of records or information accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control
  • Ability to interpret established policies and procedures and apply them consistently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with senior records management personnel, Government stakeholders, and geographically dispersed teams
  • Prior federal records management or federal contracting experience is preferred
