Role OverviewThis position is responsible for receiving, reviewing, and assigning abuse reports received from the Florida Abuse Hotline. The Records Technician will follow up with supervisory personnel to ensure they are aware of pending investigations and staff assignments. The role requires coordination with the Florida Abuse Hotline Information system (FAHIS), Child Information System (CIS), and Florida Safe Families Network (FSFN).
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities include printing and reviewing all abuse reports received from the Hotline and OTI requests called in from other counties. The Records Technician will also provide clerical support for a multi-function Family Safety Unit, prepare intake case records for Child Protective Investigator, and assign cases to CPI or CPI Supervisor.

Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Two years of clerical experience preferred
- Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective communication
- Knowledge of the methods for organizing and presenting data
- Ability to conduct meetings and to make presentations

- Ability to make decisions in a timely manner
- Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
