Job Description
The State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) is seeking a Recovery Support Specialist to join their team. The position involves providing recovery-oriented behavioral health support and intervention to individuals aged 18-25. The Recovery Support Specialist will work in a collaborative team environment and have the opportunity to showcase their talents in a meaningful role.

Requirements

  • Six (6) months of experience working in the mental health and/or substance use recovery field.
  • Considerable interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and ability to observe and redirect client behavior.
  • Knowledge of community support systems and resources, person-centered planning, Wellness Recovery Action Planning, and other recovery management techniques.
