Referral Coordinator - Neurosurgery. Ensures referrals are handled according to practice and payer guidelines and patients receive support in obtaining needed services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Two years related medical office experience
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Current knowledge of payer requirements for referrals and preauthorization
  • Knowledge of GE/IDX or similar computerized billing system
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
  • General understanding of back office operations
  • Strong customer service skills
  • PC proficiency
  • Medical terminology preferred
