No prior ophthalmology experience is required, and we provide hands-on training and mentorship to help you build the skills needed to succeed in this specialized field.
What You Will Do
As a Refractive Technician, you will play an important role in supporting physicians and ensuring a smooth patient experience. Responsibilities include gathering patient medical histories, performing patient work-ups and pre-testing, measuring visual acuity and performing pupil assessments, and conducting diagnostic testing.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- One year of medical or ophthalmic office experience preferred
- COA or COT certification preferred, but not required for otherwise qualified candidates
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-first mindset
