Role OverviewThe Refrigeration Engineer is responsible for the upkeep and repair of the facility's ammonia refrigeration systems. The role operates 12 months a year, with peak production during the summer months.
What You Will Do
Operate, maintain, and repair all refrigeration systems in the facility. This includes compressors, pumps, motors, evaporators, and condensers. Ensure all tasks are completed in compliance with Plant's safety program.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The successful candidate will have experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems, preferably in a seafood processing or industrial setting. Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with electrical systems, plumbing, and control systems related to refrigeration are required.
Requirements
- 18+ years old
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems
- Ammonia Refrigeration Technician certification or equivalent
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with electrical systems, plumbing, and control systems related to refrigeration
