Job Description
Boise Cascade is seeking a Region Purchasing Manager to lead the total purchasing function for the region, including quoting, vendor selection, purchase, receipt, storage, and disbursement of materials, services, and equipment at lowest total costs. The successful candidate will have a college degree, or equivalent work experience, and a minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience, with a certification and/or bachelor's degree preferred.
Requirements
College degree, or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience
Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) certification and/or bachelor's degree preferred
Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience
Ability to work independently, excellent communication skills
Ability to work in a stressful and changing environment
Ability to understand and apply statistical measures to support product quality improvement goals
Understanding of maintenance and capital equipment requirements in the wood products industry
