Role OverviewJoin a dynamic team of environmental compliance professionals who play a leading role in environmental permitting and compliance at Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a Regional Environmental Engineer, you will be responsible for environmental compliance at AWS data centers in Virginia, developing standards, programs, and policies to support regulatory compliance, and facilitating implementation of AWS environmental standards.
What You Will Do
Manage and oversee compliance with environmental regulations and Amazon policy, develop regional strategic programs, drive an environmentally responsible culture, and ensure work performed by contractors, consultants, and employees is completed in accordance with Amazon standards.

Requirements
- Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems
- BA/BS degree in environmental science, chemical or environmental engineering, or related field of study
- 6+ years of experience serving as an environmental technical resource, environmental engineer, compliance specialist, or compliance program manager
- Experience with regulatory assessments, air emissions evaluations & calculations, water discharge requirements & reporting, and waste management
- Applied knowledge of federal and State of Virginia environmental regulations
