Job Description
The Regional Safety Manager promotes a safe and efficient working environment for facilities located in their respective region. They establish safety processes and procedures, implement corporate-driven initiatives, and ensure compliance with local and federal regulations.

Requirements

  • Initiate and coach employees to help create a culture of safety
  • Ensure regions compliance with USCS safety directives and regulatory compliance
  • Oversee the implementation of safety and compliance initiates at the locations
  • Conduct training for various positions when necessary
  • Conduct PHA for all MOC in their region
  • Conduct train the trainer classes for powered industrial trucks
  • Attend train the trainer and manage the fall protection program for the facilities in their region
  • Create facility specific JSAs and other tools for safety and compliance
  • Lead incident investigations for all serious incidents in their region
  • General training on any new policies and procedures issued by corporate for their region
  • Manage closure for all action items created during audits and PHAs for their region
  • Conduct 5-year PHA revalidation for all facilities in region and prepare RMP if applicable
  • Follow up on EHS Repots
  • Assist with Infor tracking tier 1 and tier 2 work orders
  • Help prepare the facilities in their region for any compliance audit as necessary
  • Manage and support the region on administration of the HITTS system
  • Initiate injury reduction initiatives
  • Evaluate relevant metrics to increase the safety culture of the region
  • Stay current with any local, state, or federal safety or compliance directives
  • Assists with locations’ Crisis Management Programs
