Role Overview

As a Director of Field Sales, you'll be part of our Farm & Hardware team working as a remote employee. You'll achieve top-line sales targets, assemble full-year plans, and help manage key account relationships. You'll work cross-functionally with distribution sales teams, product marketing, channel, finance, human resources, operations, sales enablement, and customer service to achieve sales goals.

What You Will Do

You'll cultivate customer relationships in an assigned region to drive incremental growth through solutions selling. You'll activate national channel and brand marketing strategies in the field, provide competitive intelligence, and manage SG&A budgets along with promotional budgets, event executions, and planning and forecasting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required (Business Management preferred); Relevant construction field experience could be a substitute for higher education.
  • Minimum 10+ years of direct sales or distribution sales experience with experience selling to high-level executives, C-Suite, and jobsite directors and minimum 5 years of direct managerial experience.
  • Must have the ability to build relationships and work effectively with all levels of an organization to drive strategy, influence owners, and generate revenue as well as capability to meld empathy with determination to achieve outstanding results.
  • Track record of successful revenue and profit generation year after year
  • Financial Acumen: Exhibit a thorough knowledge of building and executing a budget for your region and Strong understanding of operations, sales, and customer service.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite and use of a smartphone
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time regionally. Region consists of territory east of the Mississippi.
