Job Description
The Registration Specialist is responsible for check-in, preregistration, registration, preadmission, and admission. The position requires obtaining accurate and thorough demographic information, ensuring compliance with CMS, government payors, commercial and third party payors, EMTALA, and The Joint Commission rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Two years of experience in a business, billing, or healthcare scheduling/registration/admissions setting preferred
  • Ability to proficiently utilize a computer and software programs is essential
  • Must maintain a professional and courteous manners in dealing with customers and staff in all manners of communication
  • Must demonstrate appropriate and timely independent judgment
