Role OverviewThe Regular Teacher (English/LA) is responsible for the instruction, progress, and discipline of all pupils in assigned classes. The teacher will plan and implement instructional methods, evaluate pupil progress, and maintain accurate records. The teacher will also establish and maintain reasonable rules of conduct within the classroom and on school grounds.
What You Will Do
The main responsibilities of the Regular Teacher (English/LA) include providing written lesson plans, preparing instructional materials, and evaluating pupil progress. The teacher will also participate in programs to improve student attendance, promote anti-vandalism programs, and communicate with parents or guardians.

Requirements
- Successful completion of all student teaching requirements
- All course work required to obtain the appropriate teaching certificate(s) issued by the Illinois State Board of Education
- Valid teaching license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (Professional Educator License (PEL) or Educator License with Stipulations (ELS))
