Job Description
The Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) is seeking a Regulatory and Compliance Engineer I to protect Maryland's water quality standards and implement Federal Clean Water Act requirements. The role involves writing wastewater discharge permits, managing the permit issuance process, and conducting public meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture from an accredited college or university
  • Valid driver's license with no more than five points
  • Ability to operate a State vehicle
  • Previous working knowledge using water-quality assessment model software such as WASP, QUAL2E, or CORMIX
