Role OverviewAs a Regulatory Product Filing Consultant, you will own complex regulatory filing work for MassMutual product lines, including life insurance, annuities, disability insurance, and worksite products. You will independently prepare, complete, and document filings through SERFF or comparable regulatory filing platforms, while drafting complex contract forms, riders, endorsements, communications, and filing materials for state insurance departments and the Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Commission (Compact).
What You Will Do
You will lead complex insurance product filings from planning through submission, amendment, monitoring, approval, and documentation using SERFF or comparable platforms; draft, review, and coordinate complex policy and contract forms, riders, endorsements, filing communications, and related materials; research, analyze, and interpret regulatory requirements, state-specific guidance, bulletins, and filing practices; serve as a primary point of contact for regulator questions, objections, and comments; and maintain organized records of filing activity, approvals, objections, status updates, and related communications.
Why It Might Be a Fit
You will have meaningful ownership of filing activity and related processes, including the ability to influence wording, manage timelines, coordinate amendments, and guide business partners through filing requirements. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior team members and support broader team initiatives such as prospectus review, policy print review, information management, and updates connected to product or fund changes.
