Job Description
The Texas Workforce Commission is seeking a Rehabilitation Assistant to join the Vocational Rehabilitation Department. The ideal candidate will have experience in office practices, case management support functions, and community and government service delivery systems. The role involves assisting VR Counselors in providing services to customers and preparing/reviewing reports for accuracy. Requirements

  • Eighteen (18) months experience in office practices and office support work utilizing a personal computer in a Windows' based environment
  • Experience in: Applying purchasing procedures; Case guidelines, regulations and policies; Case management support functions
  • Knowledge of: Community and government service delivery systems; Mental illness and emotional components of physical illness
  • Ability to: Interpret highly complex policies/procedures; Maintain confidentiality; Analyze/interpret highly complex financial data
  • Skill in interviewing and in conducting individual needs assessments
  • Related work experience at all levels is defined as case management support, purchasing and general knowledge of disabilities
