Role Overview

As a Relationship Banker II, you will be responsible for identifying customer needs and matching them with the appropriate bank products and services. You will also process a variety of cash and non-cash transactions, and provide oversight and responsibility to review/approve various transactions. You will travel between assigned branch locations and are encouraged to apply for open positions for permanent placement.

What You Will Do

Your main day-to-day responsibilities will include coaching and serving as a mentor to Relationship Bankers and Tellers, handling cash shipment and vault management, and originating consumer loans. You will also identify customer needs and make referrals through proactive sales/service efforts, and service, sell, and cross-sell deposit accounts, loan products, and cash management services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years of face-to-face customer service experience, retail sales experience, or prior Trustmark Relationship Banker experience
  • Ability to learn Trustmark consumer and/or mortgage lending guidelines and process applicable loans within 2 years of employment
  • Registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS)
  • Basic math concepts and ability to handle routine transactions and close out the cash drawer
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to meet sales goals in a retail environment
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal technology systems
