Job Description
Role Overview

The HMIS Reporting Specialist is a member of the Homeless Management Information Systems team. The team works with the community to provide Homeless Management Information System administration, create reports and data extracts, conduct in-person training and provide technical assistance for users across the Chicago Continuum of Care (CoC).

What You Will Do

The HMIS Reporting Specialist helps ensure that timely and accurate data is distributed based on the needs of the community. Responsibilities include creating new reports and custom data extracts as directed, maintaining existing report portfolio by updating content as needed, providing related technical support to the CoC community in utilization of the reports, and testing and validation of output produced.

Requirements

  • 2 years of overall relevant work experience or a college degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics or related field
  • 2 years of experience in report design and implementation using tools such as SAP BusinessObjects Web intelligence, Microsoft SSRS Report Builder, or equivalent
  • Experience in defining and performing quality assurance tasks including mass testing and validation of data results
  • Expert knowledge/skills with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server databases and query language
  • Experience with a Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to convey information in a clear and concise manner
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities
  • Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment
  • A strong work ethic, integrity, and the highest ethical standards are expected
  • Passion for inclusivity and diversity, and interest in being part of a multicultural team

Benefits

  • Salary range: $51,261 - $69,836
  • Exempt, full-time position
