Role Overview

The Research Assistant I works with a team to coordinate research and community-based projects, assisting with regulatory requirements, data management, data collection, and literature reviews. The role involves working with project PIs, community partners, and stakeholders to prepare grant applications and fulfill project scopes. The Research Assistant I also assists with data analysis, report writing, and policy development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred) and Master's Degree in public policy, public health, or health administration (Preferred)
  • 2+ years experience in a health care setting or nonprofit setting (Preferred)
  • 2+ years experience in research, grants management, or program evaluation (Preferred)
  • Experience with IRB procedures (Preferred)
  • Event management experience (Preferred)
  • Grant writing experience (Preferred)
  • Able to take direction and work in a team environment (Required proficiency)
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results both independently and working with a team (Required proficiency)
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills (Required proficiency)
  • Strong organizational skills (Required proficiency)
  • Excellent writing ability and communication skills (Required proficiency)
  • Computer skills including MS Office products, knowledge of statistical programs (e.g., SPSS, STATA, SAS), database management, and internet applications (Required proficiency)
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with stakeholders inside and outside the hospital (Required proficiency)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with individuals at all levels of an organization (Required proficiency)
