Job Description
Works under general direction to plan, coordinate, supervise, and participate in assigned research projects or perform more complex research assignments requiring considerable experience and thorough knowledge of techniques and practices related to particular field of medical or scientific research.

Requirements

  • Daily lab operations, including solution preparation
  • General laboratory cleaning and maintenance.
  • Maintain rodent colonies and perform genotyping.
  • Conduct surgical procedures such as stereotactic virus injection procedures.
  • Perform DNA construct assembly and characterization
  • Maintain primary and immortalized cell cultures
  • Perform cell transfection, immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization and transcriptomics in cultured cells and fixed tissue.
  • Capture and analyze fluorescence microscopy images.
  • Perform data analysis.
