Role OverviewThis position is for a full-time Research Assistant in The College of Liberal Arts STEM Learning Lab to provide research support on a project funded by the National Science Foundation. The Research Assistant will assist the principal investigator and co-investigators with research activities, including data coding, lab management, and literature reviews.
What You Will Do
Primary duties will include data coding of errors and strategies in student work on varied levels of mathematics assessments and assignments, lab management, data entry, management, and cleaning, assistance with preparing presentations, reports, and manuscripts.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent written communication skills, and experience creating and managing databases in Excel. Familiarity with procedures and regulations regarding participant confidentiality is also required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or a related field.
- At least 6 months of related research experience.
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
- Demonstrated excellent attention to detail and ability to follow research procedures.
- Must be familiar with procedures and regulations regarding participant confidentiality.
- Demonstrated MS Office skills and experience creating and managing databases in Excel.
- Demonstrated professional phone skills and excellent written communication skills.
