Job Description
An agricultural research scientist is needed to conduct field, greenhouse, and laboratory studies on the ecology and management of insect pests of sugarcane, the most valuable agricultural commodity in Louisiana. The successful candidate will work independently to design experiments, collect and analyze data, and publish and present results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Entomology, Agricultural Sciences, Biology, or related field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Experience working in integrated pest management required; experience working in sugarcane preferred
  • A working knowledge of agricultural systems required
  • Ability to perform physical work outdoors
