Role OverviewThe Research Scientist is responsible for conducting complex independent research into their field of expertise. The Research Scientist will utilize techniques and strategies taught to them by their education and experiences to work towards solving the question presented by their research project. Writes and may contribute to research papers, articles, and publications. Oversees the preparation and cleaning of worksite. May collaborate with other researchers and/or faculty.
What You Will Do
Conduct complex independent research into their field of expertise, analyzes research data, summarizes results, writes and contributes to research papers, articles, and publications, assists with grant acquisition, mentors and supervises student researchers, and prepares presentation materials.

Requirements
- PhD in behavioral neuroscience or closely related
- Six years of related experience in neuroscientific research
- At least 15 years experience in human and animal trials for neuropsychological research (preferred)
- Experience with Huron, IRB, and other Texas A&M research systems (preferred)
- Experience in grant acquisition (preferred)
