Job Description
The prospective candidate will work on translational research projects related to epilepsy and its interaction with other neurological disorders, studying the neuronal activation in response to stimuli. The candidate will also use animal behavior testing, molecular biology techniques, human and animal tissue slices, and histology to assess cellular and regional alterations in synaptic and signaling pathways genes and proteins.

Requirements

  • Perform and support research projects as directed by principal investigator(s) and senior scientists.
  • Maintain rodent animal colony and perform procedures with rodents.
  • Maintain accurate records of experiments in a lab notebook format, and save data in suggested storage format.
  • Attend regularly scheduled lab meetings, present experimental data, and participate in journal club presentations.
  • Perform lab maintenance duties as assigned.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
