Role OverviewThis hire will be responsible for animal care and maintenance, genotyping, western blotting, and behavioral experiments focusing on the mechanisms of drug addiction. The primary responsibility will be for the lab's mouse colony.
What You Will Do
The candidate will participate in mouse experiments related to drug addiction mechanisms, administer medications/drugs, observe daily responses to treatment, input data into Excel, and create figures in PowerPoint. The candidate will also help with biochemistry experiments, including western blotting.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The candidate should be trained in colony management, including scheduled matings, genotyping, and management of cage census and colony database. The candidate will also contribute to the overall lab maintenance.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science
- 0 to 1 year of experience
- Experience working with animals strongly preferred
