Role OverviewThe Stout Lab in the Aging & Metabolism Research Program is seeking a Research Technician to conduct research in cellular and molecular mechanisms regulating the aging process using rodent models.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: managing mouse colony, euthanizing animals, maintaining laboratory inventories, ordering laboratory supplies, and assisting postdoctoral scientists and graduate students with experiments.

Requirements
- BS/BA degree in one of the biological sciences, physics, chemistry, or related area, or equivalent years of relevant lab experience
- willingness to handle laboratory animals (mice and rats)
- strong ability to coordinate day-to-day work, and follow protocols to complete a variety of detailed tasks and assignments
- ability to record detailed procedures and results
- basic computer skills including Internet software, order processing systems, and Microsoft Office software
- excellent oral and written communication skills
- professionalism and acceptance of diverse personalities and cultures
- willingness to learn new techniques and initiative to solve problems
