Role Overview

The Srinivasan Laboratory at Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) is recruiting a motivated Research Technician to study the development and disease mechanisms of lymphatic vessels and cardiovascular valves. Successful candidates will have opportunities to develop independent research directions, learn new experimental and computational approaches, present their work at scientific meetings, and contribute to high-impact publications.

What You Will Do

The Research Technician will handle laboratory mice, including breeding, maintenance, and procedures as needed. They will also perform precise, accurate work when handling samples and chemicals, and have basic proficiency with computers, including internet browsing, order processing systems, and Microsoft Office.

  • Basic proficiency with computers, including internet browsing, order processing systems, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to comprehend instructions, follow protocols, and perform precise, accurate work when handling samples and chemicals.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to compute basic mathematical operations such as rates, ratios, percentages, molarity, and unit conversions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for documenting procedures, summarizing data, and collaborating effectively with team members.
