Job Description
UT Southwestern is seeking a Research Technician II to support studies in RNA biology, RNA chemical modifications, and mechanistic biochemistry in the broader field of gene regulation and cancer biology. The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing projects through independent execution of molecular biology and biochemical experiments while supporting overall laboratory operations.

Requirements

  • Perform molecular biology techniques (DNA/RNA purification, PCR, cloning, gel electrophoresis)
  • Assist with protein expression and purification
  • Conduct RNA biochemistry experiments, including in vitro transcription and enzymatic assays
  • Prepare reagents and maintain organized laboratory records
  • Assist with data analysis and documentation
  • Maintain laboratory inventory and ensure compliance with safety regulations
