Job Description
Role Overview

Works under minimal supervision to provide responsible technical assistance in performance of assignments requiring basic knowledge of techniques and practices related to particular field of science. Participates in research projects and helps maintain the operation of the laboratory.

What You Will Do

Collects, accurately records and analyzes data in conjunction with other research staff. Isolates, maintains, and cultures cells. Genotypes and phenotypes mice. Uses flow cytometric analyses, PCR and DNA cloning analyses, and microscopic analyses. Performs cell transfer experiments in mice and maintains laboratory records, supplies, and samples in an organized manner.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Experience in mouse handling, flow cytometry, and molecular biology is preferred but not required. The successful candidate will take part in lab meetings and present data, and perform other tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree With major coursework in field of assignment and no experience or Two (2) years of college with emphasis in coursework in field of assignment or High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • No experience required with Bachelor's Degree or 2 years of laboratory experience at level of Laboratory Technical Assistant or equivalent with two (2) years of college or 4 years of laboratory experience including two years at level of Laboratory Technical Assistant or equivalent with High School Graduation or GED equivalent
