Job Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham is seeking a Researcher to join their team in the Department of Optometry & Vision Science. The successful candidate will drive scientific discovery by leading and executing research projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to grant writing and securing funding.
Requirements
Master's degree in a related field OR Bachelor's degree in related field and two (2) years of related experience OR Associate's degree in related field and four (4) years of related experience required or High School diploma or GED and six (6) years of related experience required
Independent leadership and execution of research projects
Collaboration with cross-functional teams
Grant writing and securing funding
Animal care and pre- and post-surgical monitoring and preparation
Data collection and analysis
Laboratory meetings and duties as assigned
