Role OverviewLa Crosse County is seeking a compassionate, dependable Resident Assistant to join the Assisted Living team at Lakeview Health Center & Assisted Living. This role supports individuals in a home-like environment with a focus on person-centered care, working under the supervision of the Assisted Living Supervisor as part of a collaborative, mission-driven team.
What You Will Do
Assist individuals with personal hygiene, activities of daily living, and medication administration following the 'Five Rights.' Provide supervision to maintain safety, document care, and coordinate community outings. Perform housekeeping duties and implement recreational programs.

Starting pay is $18.51 per hour with annual step increases and shift differentials.
Requirements
- Experience as a Resident Care Assistant in a Residential Care Apartment Complex (RCAC) or Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF) is preferred
- If classified as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), must be listed on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry
- For those working in a Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF), must be listed on the Wisconsin CBRF Employee Registry as having completed the four core DHS 83 courses—Standard Precautions and Medication Administration (prior to related duties), and Fire Safety and First Aid & Choking (within 90 days of hire)
- Prefer experience working with geriatric, mentally ill or developmentally disabled persons
- Employees driving County vehicles must have and maintain a valid Driver's License and a good driving record
- Must successfully pass a background check as required by the Wisconsin Caregiver Law
- Must be 18 years of age
