Job Description
SBCS is seeking a Resident Associate to work with youth in emergency shelter bed nights, providing supportive services and housing options. The ideal candidate will have experience working with youth, a strong understanding of trauma-informed care, and excellent communication skills.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in social work, sociology, psychology, or related field, required
  • Demonstrated experience working with youth, transitional housing facilities or homeless shelters preferred
  • Must be dependable, punctual, communicative and detail oriented
  • Must be available to respond to crisis and emergencies as needed
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must be willing to develop or possess working knowledge of trauma-informed care and treatment
