Role Overview

The Resident Buildings Superintendent will supervise the operation and maintenance of properties of the Housing Authority, including scheduling and supervising the care, cleaning, and policing of public spaces, maintaining facility services, and inspecting work of maintenance contractors. The role requires implementing established procedures, establishing work schedules, and developing job instructions to maintain and/or improve agency standards. The position involves utilizing computers and performing related work.

What You Will Do

Typical tasks include scheduling and supervising maintenance employees, inspecting work, supervising repair and adjustment of structures and equipment, training and instructing maintenance employees, and taking action in response to requests for necessary repairs and adjustments.

The ideal candidate will have a four-year high school diploma or its equivalent, plus five years of supervisory experience in the operation, repair, and maintenance of large tenanted buildings, with three years of experience in responsible charge of properties having not less than seven maintenance and operations employees. Requirements
