Job Description
We are looking for a skilled engineer to oversee construction projects from start to finish, working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on problem-solving and decision-making. As our new Resident Engineer, you will engage in various levels of complexity construction related projects, collaborating with construction personnel and making evaluations and interpretations. Your key responsibilities will be utilizing knowledge acquired in obtaining an engineering or construction management degree to analyze the engineering concepts of a project, overseeing construction personnel to ensure construction procedures follow those specified in the contract documents, and performing engineering calculations to determine such requirements as pump performance, mechanics of concrete, pipeline hydraulics, and electrical adequacy.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology
Associate's degree or technical school certification in science, math, architecture, computing, technical drafting or other relevant technical curriculum, and 4+ years of qualifying engineering experience working in the engineering/design field
Ability to make decisions affecting the cost and performance of the work
Additional skills, certifications, and qualities that will help you succeed in this role include: Advanced degree, Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate, Licensed Professional Engineer, Municipal and State Agency experience, CCM, USACE CQM, CCCA, NICET certifications
