Job Description
The Resident Lifestyle Director (Activity Director) provides life-enrichment activities for seniors in our community, overseeing a team of activity assistants, coordinators, and drivers. They plan and organize activities, events, and outings, and ensure policies and procedures are implemented.
Requirements
High School degree is required
Associate degree or higher in gerontology, business, human services, or a related field is preferred
At least 3 years of experience in designing and leading life-enrichment activities for seniors
At least 1 year of leadership experience in senior living, hospitality, or healthcare management in a supervisory role is preferred
Training or at least 1 year in dementia care is a plus
Previous event planning experience is strongly preferred
Creativity, empathy, patience, and passion for helping others
Excellent organizational and communication skills and ability to motivate
Knowledge of various computer systems, particularly Excel, Word, and Canva
