Role Overview

The Resident Manager is a supervisory position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the building, including repairs and maintenance, property cleanliness, and emergency planning. The Resident Manager acts as a liaison between residents and Extell Management Services, Inc. and is responsible for managing staff, ensuring compliance with company policies, and assisting with the building budget.

What You Will Do

The Resident Manager will perform regular walkthroughs of the property, manage amenity spaces, order and distribute supplies, and oversee staff scheduling and payroll. They will also be responsible for resolving resident and staff-related issues and assisting with the drafting and monitoring of the annual building budget.

Ideal candidates will have luxury hotel or residential management experience, strong communication skills, and a minimum of 5 years of experience working with commercial and residential grade electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. They will also need to demonstrate effective judgment and decision-making, supervisory skills, and a working knowledge of building systems and computer programs.

Requirements

  • Luxury hotel or luxury residential management experience in a large active property
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High school diploma or GED and a vocational/technical background
  • Effective ability to ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • A minimum of 5 years working with modern, commercial/Industrial and residential grade electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and complex operational matters on a daily basis
  • Working knowledge of building systems, including understanding how the systems operate and knowing how to effectively provide and manage preventative maintenance programs
  • Working knowledge of carpentry, painting and general finishing work
  • Strong background in working with fire, life, health, and safety systems
  • Effective judgement and decision-making
  • A working knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office, Windows, BuildingLink and Yardi etc.
  • Effective supervisory skills with 5 years’ experience managing all members and departments of a luxury building staff

  • Annualized Base Salary: $140,000 - $180,000
