Role Overview

We are seeking a Resident Project Engineer to oversee the Goshen Tunnel Rehab Project. The project involves rehabilitating and enlarging two nearly 100-year-old irrigation tunnels to an 18-foot diameter, along with associated portal structures. The Resident Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the project, ensuring compliance with contracts and codes, and working with contractors to deliver the project on time and within budget.

What You Will Do

The Resident Project Engineer will be responsible for reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications, maintaining accurate records of the contractor's daily activities, reviewing construction materials for contract compliance, and tracking quantities and developing pay estimates for acceptance.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years of progressive construction experience. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or combination of education and relevant experience
  • A minimum of 5 years progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification
  • Ability to interpret construction schedules
  • Ability to problem solve and provide possible solutions to the engineer
  • Must have a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Must be computer literate, experience with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction packages
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
