Role OverviewWe are seeking a Resident Project Engineer to oversee the Goshen Tunnel Rehab Project. The project involves rehabilitating and enlarging two nearly 100-year-old irrigation tunnels to an 18-foot diameter, along with associated portal structures. The work is split between two contractors, with portal construction delivered via Design-Bid-Build (DBB) and tunneling performed under a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) contract.
What You Will Do
As a Resident Project Engineer, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications, maintaining accurate daily records of the contractor's daily activities, reviewing construction materials for Contract compliance, and tracking quantities and developing pay estimates for acceptance.

This role requires a strong understanding of construction administration, geotechnical engineering, and contracts. You will work under general supervision of a Design Project Manager and supervise junior Resident Project Representatives and Construction Inspectors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or combination of education and relevant experience
- A minimum of 5 years progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification
- Ability to interpret construction schedules
- Ability to problem solve and provide possible solutions to the engineer
- Must have a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must be computer literate, experience with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction packages
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
