Resident Project Representative

As a Resident Project Representative, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate daily records of the contractor's daily activities and the work performed, reviewing construction materials for Contract compliance, and conducting observations of the installation and acceptance testing of completed equipment and systems. You will work under general supervision of a more-senior Construction Manager or Project Manager and supervise and direct the activities of junior Resident Project Representatives and Construction Inspectors. This role requires a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.

What You Will Do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications, identifying discrepancies or conflicts within the documents, and tracking quantities and developing pay estimates for acceptance. You will also be responsible for developing record documentation for engineer review/acceptance, assisting with project audit/closeout, and managing complex water/wastewater construction contracts as an owner representative.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or combination of education and relevant experience
• A minimum of 5 years progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects
• Must have a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction
• Must be able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Must be computer literate, experience with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction packages
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
