Role OverviewWe are seeking a Residential Associate to provide a safe, therapeutic environment for residents in a residential setting. The role involves medication management, recreation, and facility management, as well as other residential activities. The successful candidate will maintain confidentiality and ethical standards, and effectively support ongoing and collaborative communication amongst all program staff.
What You Will Do
Key responsibilities include monitoring residents to ensure a safe therapeutic environment, covering nonclinical psychoeducational groups, observing peer-led activities, providing transportation, conducting room and personal belonging searches, and providing conflict management to residents.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in the human services field, crisis intervention, residential setting, or emergency services, and knowledge of homeless client issues. Experience with conflict resolution techniques is preferred.
Requirements
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate's degree in human services or related field preferred
- Valid and clean NYS Driver's License
- Two years of experience in the human services field, crisis intervention, residential setting, or emergency services
- Knowledge of homeless client issues preferred
- Experience with conflict resolution techniques preferred
