Role OverviewDESC is seeking Residential Counselors to manage day-to-day operations at Permanent Supportive Housing Projects. Counselors will assist residents with daily needs, interact with residents, and assist clinical staff in coordinating services.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include interacting with residents, assisting clinical staff, managing building operations, monitoring safety and security, and responding to emergencies.

Requirements
- Basic understanding of homelessness and various characteristics of homeless adult population
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with staff from various backgrounds
- Ability to work effectively with clients displaying a wide range of unpleasant and/or bizarre behaviors
- Subscription to philosophy of cooperation and continuity across programs and of consideration and respect for clients
