Role OverviewAssists a refuse truck driver on pre-assigned and special routes to pick up garbage, yard waste, or recycling. Provides safe and courteous customer service to the general public and customers. Ensures garbage and recyclables are picked up and transferred properly.
What You Will Do
Picks up solid waste, loads refuse into the truck, operates packing mechanism, provides customer service, answers questions, and directs residents to contact Customer Service or government offices. Assists the driver in safely backing up the truck and cleans the truck at the end of each shift.

Must be able to follow safe operating practices, learn and use interpersonal skills for good customer service, and work in a team environment. Must be physically able to push or pull 50 pounds, lift 50 pounds, and work in extreme weather conditions.
