Role Overview

The Residential Lead provides necessary supports for individuals with an intellectual and/or developmental disability to live as independently as possible within an AEDD residential environment. The residential lead provides direction and support to the other residential direct support professional staff in support of providing services to enable persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities to live, work and enjoy recreational opportunities in the community.

What You Will Do

Participates in program activities, chaperons' group-sponsored trips and social functions, completes grocery shopping, orders supplies, determines need for maintenance, repairs, and furnishings, communicates with other Direct Support Professional staff, and assists residents with daily living skills.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • CPR/First Aid
  • Arkansas Driver's License
  • Auto Liability Insurance
  • Minimum of one year of relevant, supervised work experience with a public health, human services or other community service agency
  • Minimum of two (2) years verifiable experience with individuals with developmental disabilities
