Job Description
AIM is seeking a Resource Room Specialist to join our mission-driven organization. Our growing team is offering a full benefits package. The Specialist is responsible for hosting, managing, and facilitating a welcoming and accessible consumer resource room, providing guidance and assistance to consumers with disabilities in accessing community-based resources and services.

Requirements

  • Provide guidance and assistance to consumers with disabilities in accessing community-based resources and services
  • Maintain daily operations of the consumer resource room, ensuring materials, equipment, and technology are organized, accessible, and up to date
  • Orient consumers to available resources, including housing, benefits, transportation, healthcare, employment support, education, and independent living skills
  • Develop, maintain, and regularly update a community resource directory of local, state, and federal programs and service providers
  • Facilitate workshops, informational sessions, and skill-building activities within the resource room
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with community partners, service providers, and advocacy organizations
  • Advocate for consumers to ensure equal access to services, community resources, and ADA compliance
  • Maintain accurate documentation of consumer interactions, referrals, and outcomes in accordance with agency and funding requirements
