Role OverviewAssists patients in achieving their respiratory treatment plan goals by performing prescribed interventions and therapies, monitoring physiological responses, and sharing findings with the multidisciplinary team. Works in a pediatric setting, providing care to children with complex medical conditions.
What You Will Do
Perform respiratory interventions and therapies, monitor vital signs and capnometry, interpret blood gases and blood chemistry results, and make recommendations for adjustments to the respiratory treatment plan. Participate in discharge planning, bedside instruction, and staff education.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Requires a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification, with Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and Registered Respiratory Therapist Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (RRT-NPS) certifications preferred. 1 year pediatric experience preferred, with excellent verbal communication skills required.
