Job Description
The Restaurant Host/Hostess is responsible for greeting and seating guests promptly and courteously, ensuring all transactions are accurately processed, and maintaining cleanliness in guest areas. Assists in various service tasks, handles customer concerns, and acts as a role model to other employees while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Conducts assigned duties according to procedures.
  • Greets guests quickly and courteously.
  • Seat Guest promptly and with a smile.
  • Able to sell guest on all seating areas of the restaurant (i.e. bar and patio).
  • Be aware of table status and control seating times.
  • Helps service guests as necessary in a team aspect (May include but not limited to: bussing tables, taking drink orders, rolling silverware, etc.).
  • Knows how to ring up all transactions and all tenders.
  • Assists the Service Attendants/Counter Attendants/Culinary areas when needed.
  • Handles and solves any concerns and questions from customers.
  • Keeps all guest areas clean and neat.
  • Enters guests’ merchandise in register, takes money from customer and accurately gives back change.
  • Responsible for accurate control of cash drawer.
  • Operates cash register and properly settles merchandise purchase
  • Itemizes totals and presents guests with the price for payment
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
