Job Description
Restaurant Host responsibilities include operating cash registers, greeting customers, and maintaining a comfortable atmosphere. Must be 21 years old, have excellent customer service skills, and be able to lift up to 75 pounds. The Downstream Casino Resort adheres to the Quapaw Tribe of Oklahoma's Native American Preference policy.

Requirements

  • Operates cash register and properly settles checks.
  • Greet and ring all customer checks on cash register, takes money from customer and accurately gives change back to customer.
  • Accurately maintains balance of cash register and restaurant checks.
  • Inventories stock fills requisitions and communicates with the kitchen and beverage department to maintain proper levels of foods and beverages.
  • Records all tips collected from credit cards, comps, and room charges.
  • Handles and solves any concerns and questions from customers.
  • Monitors, prepares, displays, and maintains food items to insure presentation and freshness throughout the shift.
  • Operates and maintains all equipment and utensils as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures.
  • Maintains, cleans, organizes, and stocks prep area in accordance with established property guidelines to include health and safety.
  • Maintains a comfortable atmosphere by monitoring temperature and maintaining furniture arrangement. Dusting/cleaning bookcases, shelving, windows, TV monitors and remotes, vacuuming floors and rugs, cleaning windows, etc.
  • Ensures all reading literature provided for guest is current to include newspapers, magazines, and casino collateral
  • Monitors and maintains bathroom cleanliness and supplies.
  • Monitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines.
  • Serves as ambassador of goodwill while working and at customer and public relations functions; appears in publicity photos.
  • Promotes casino events and programs.
  • Works closely with Casino Hosts to prepare for and accommodate the needs of the guest.
  • Works well with others.
  • Provides personalized service and uses guest names.
  • Resolve service problems according to guidelines.
  • Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner.
