Role Overview

BlueLinx is seeking a driven Outside Sales Representative – National Retail to manage existing national retail relationships while aggressively growing new revenue within the region.

What You Will Do

Identify new sales opportunities, maximize sales effectiveness, improve profitability, and provide post-sale service and support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent industry experience
  • 0-2 years of experience in a sales role with responsibility for growing accounts and generating new business
  • Ability to manage an existing book of business while expanding partnerships
  • Strong market knowledge, product familiarity, and consultative selling skills
  • Demonstrated 'hunter' mentality with a strong drive for results
  • Excellent planning, organization, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Working knowledge of account management, customer service, product pricing, sales support, warehousing, distribution, and transportation
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and performance-driven
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant sales systems and technology
  • Strong telephone and communication skills with the ability to identify needs, evaluate solutions, and recommend action
