Job Description
The Rigger provides the kinetic energy of the shipbuilding business, operating cranes, forklifts, and tug boats, and handling ship components. The Rigger must calculate weights, center of gravity, and lift points to select the most appropriate gear for the task. The Rigger also erects, maintains, and dismantles scaffolding, and purchases and maintains tools used in the shipbuilding business.

Requirements

  • Ability to work at extreme heights or small confined spaces
  • Ability to kneel, squat, crawl, bend, stoop, and climb
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs
  • Pass a respirator fit test
  • Work indoors/outdoors year round in all weather conditions
  • Work assigned shift as production needs
  • Pass Physical Agility Test
