Role Overview

The Right-of-Way Technician I or II assists the Right-of-Way Manager in maintaining the integrity of the City's right-of-way. This involves coordinating utility companies' work, performing field inspections, and reviewing plans.

What You Will Do

Perform field inspections, review plans, issue permits, and maintain records. Coordinate utility companies' work and ensure traffic and work-zone safety. Drive City and/or personal vehicle to perform essential functions.

Ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, be organized and self-motivated, and take pride in protecting City infrastructure. Technician II will have additional levels of independent work and less oversight.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in civil engineering technology, business, planning or related field
  • 2-3 years of work experience related to roadway/utility construction of inspection (Technician I)
  • 5-6 years of work experience related to roadway/utility construction of inspection (Technician II)
